MVM System Update: Service Disruptions Ahead
The MVM Group will be upgrading its natural gas customer service system in September. According to their announcement, a comprehensive IT system transition will take place between September 21 and 29. During this period, the online customer service and the mobile app will be temporarily unavailable. Additionally, the top-up function for prepaid gas meters will be suspended.
MVM is therefore asking affected natural gas customers to handle any planned matters if possible before September 21 or after September 29. This will help ensure smooth transactions for everyone.
What Does the Update Mean for Customers?
The primary goal of the upgrade is to make customer service simpler, faster and more convenient in the future. To achieve this, MVM is continuously improving its backend systems, online interfaces and mobile application.
During the maintenance window, the following services related to natural gas supply will be unavailable:
- Online customer service portal
- MVM mobile application
- Top-up service for prepaid gas meters
The system transition will also affect the conclusion of competitive market contracts and the handling of short-term capacity requests.
Important Deadlines for Different Customer Groups
- For all customers: Schedule any non-urgent administrative tasks for before September 21 or after September 29.
- For customers with prepaid meters: It is especially important to top up your meter before the maintenance begins on September 21. This will ensure an uninterrupted gas supply throughout the entire update period.
- For commercial customers on the competitive market: Contracts for the next gas year must be concluded by August 28, 2026. Furthermore, short-term capacity needs for the shutdown period must be submitted to MVM Next by 9:00 AM on September 17.
MVM advises customers to check their official website for continuously updated information regarding the maintenance.
